Petey Pointer & American Bulldog Mix BONIFAY, FL

If you need a family dog, this is it. Petey loves everyone and makes a great companion. He has been well behaved with older children, but has shown insecurities and nippy behaviors with young children that have faster movements and noisy behaviors. He loves to ride in the car and walks well on leash. He is still young, probably a year and a half old. He is not over confident, so he might adjust better to being adopted in a family that already has a dog that is happy and playful. Petey is the last of 20 animals we rescued from a local home here where the owner had died and no one was left to care for them. He is young, probably a little over two years old. He is friendly with people, other dogs and cats. He is doing wonderful with being in the house, he uses the doggie door and has had NO accidents at all. He likes attention and loves to run and swim. He is well behaved, doesn't jump on you or bark crazy either!! He loves to load up in the car and go places with us and is VERY well behaved. Please consider giving him a good home. He is vaccinated and neutered. He did test positive for heartworms, but we have him on ivermectin which should help him to get over this problem.
