Jack is 9 months old, half blind and we suspect a little deaf. He was found in the laneway and was very thin, had a serious respiratory infection and seemed elated to have been captured. Jack is very affectionate, and will follow you everywhere you go. He's also very playful and likes to get his exercise by doing laps around the house. We would keep Jack except that we're allergic and can't have cats in the home. I believe Jack would like a companion as he seems a bit lonely and tries to make friends with the outside cats through the window.


Annex Cat Rescue began as a group of volunteers living primarily in the Annex neighbourhood in Toronto, Ontario but have grown to include members throughout the city. We are a volunteer run, non-profit organization and have no government funding.



We rescue homeless cats and place them in temporary foster homes. They receive all necessary veterinary care including de-worming, vaccination and spaying/neutering (age appropriate). We charge a modest adoption fee of $175 (which does not cover all our costs).



Through fostering we provide a loving environment in a real home. We have a no-kill policy; cats remain in foster care until a permanent home is found.



All potential adopters are carefully screened before visiting the cats in their foster homes. We go to great lengths to find the right cat for you. We always have a good selection of cats and kittens of all descriptions, and fostering allows us to get to know the cats intimately.
