Jake Staffordshire Bull Terrier & American Staffordshire Terrier Mix San Diego, CA

Four feet of freedom -- that is all Jake had for many months of his life. At 3 months old, Jake's owners left him outside tethered to a 4 foot cable. He had a small dog crate for shelter; although little good it did him as he quickly outgrew the puppy sized crate . After 7 months of this horrific life, Jake was able to break free. He ended up hanging around an elementary school, enjoying the company and love from kids. Long story short, after a frightening stay with animal control, Jake found his way to The Barking Lot. We have been nothing short of amazed by this guy. He is a fast learner and eager to please. He has already mastered several commands. Most importantly, he is a sweet heart. He loves people and kids; when introduce properly he gets along well with dogs. He still has a good deal of playful puppy energy, but he is happy to take a time out from play to give some kisses.
