Meet Mason!

Mason is a spunky border collie mix with plenty of energy in reserve! This young guy will wind up pretty quickly, so when you are ready to go go go, he'll be right there with you!

Mason came to us as a stray so our background knowledge on him is pretty limited, although during his time here, he has been a very friendly dog. At some point down the line, someone took the time to teach this affection little one basic commands...just ask him to shake! He is quite sensitive though to pinching and grabbing- for that reason we would not recommend Mason for a home with children under 5 years.

Pets come into the shelter every day. There are ALWAYS more pets available at Harbor Humane Society than are posted on Petfinder, so please be sure to stop by often to find your new best friend! PLEASE BE SURE to stop in or call as soon as possible if you see a pet you're interested in on Petfinder.

Note: Harbor Humane Society does NOT charge to bring in a found pet if you found the pet in Ottawa County. Please bring in the pet(s) during business hours and do not let them loose outside. Please try to give as much information about the pet to the staff as you can.

Domestic pets such as cats & kittens, dogs & puppies, house rabbits, pet mice & rats, gerbils, guinea pigs, hamsters, pet birds, ferrets, chinchillas, pet reptiles, etc., CANNOT live on their own outside and suffer horribly. They depend on people for their care and survival. We accept and have supplies to care for all of these pet animals at the shelter and have a staff veterinarian. We DO work with rescues. Please bring unwanted pets into the shelter!! Do not let them go outside.

If you've LOST a pet and do not see your pet when you come into HHS, PLEASE ask at the front desk before leaving! Bring in a color picture and description. Many times cats come in a few months after they're lost. Don't give up hope.
