NEEDS AN EXPERIENCED ADOPTER WHO HAS EXPERIENCE HANDLING ABUSED DOGS


Buffy is a 1-2 year old Terrier Mix found as a stray in rural VA. Buffy is spayed, utd on shots and is hoping to find her Forever Home. She is small, maybe 20 lbs. and fuzzy and gorgeous. Buffy is sweet and happy and will make a wonderful room mate. She is housetrained and loves belly rubs, once she gets to know you. She is scared and shy on first meeting someone and is very afraid of men but warms quickly to women. We would like to find a FEMALE ONLY HOME with someone willing to show Buffy that no-one will ever hurt her again. She has the most beautiful, soulful eyes that reveal some of all she has been through and just how much she wants to love and be loved. We would like to keep her in the Central NJ area.


Buffy will watch and learn from the dogs already in the home. You MUST have another small dog for her to follow and learn from. You MUST be home during the day (or work from home), have a fenced yard, and most importantly, have the love and patience to give her time to keep learning. She does like people and wants to be where her mom is.

THE LOCATION GIVEN IN THE DOG'S NAME IS WHERE HE or SHE IS LOCATED. Unless otherwise stated, WE DO NOT ADOPT, SHIP OR TRANSPORT OUR DOGS AWAY FROM THE AREA THEY ARE IN. Breed stated is just a shelter/rescue/foster guess based on size, appearance and temperament. It is impossible for us to know for sure as most of our dogs are strays from high kill shelters.
