Sadie* Shepherd & Labrador Retriever Mix Houston, TX

Sadie is a 3 year old medium-sized Shepherd mix who is very sweet and always ready to play. Sadie is house-trained, crate-trained and is good with kids. Sadie is not a barker but she will let you know when something is outside by the door or window especially if it is a possum or stray cat. Sadie is sweet to her foster mom’s outside cat and likes to give the cat a sniff just in case the cat would like to play. But a squirrel – that a different story! Sadie will chase squirrels and might make a good hunting dog. Sadie has been trained to walk on a leash and goes for walks twice a day with her foster mom while her foster mom walks her two personal dogs – it’s a site to see one person walking one huge dog and two medium sized dogs at a time! Sadie gets along great with other dogs, loves to play and would be the perfect candidate for a family looking for a second dog as a playmate for their dog. When friends come for a visit, Sadie is friendly but does not overwhelm. In the evenings Sadie likes to lie on her side and will readily roll over on her back when you walk by just in case you would like to give her a belly rub.



Sadie was rescued from the Brazoria County animal control literally the day after she had given birth to 7 beautiful pups. They do not have adoptions there, so no doubt she and her pups would not have made it! She genuinely enjoys the simple things in life and is just looking for some great people to call her own. Sadie has a gentle spirit and is eager to find a fur-ever home.
