UPDATE (11/29/11):

Paris is just the sweetest little girl! She follows her foster mom and dad like a little shadow, and proudly sits very still for treats. She is learning how to walk on a leash and getting used to all the new sights and sounds of her neighborhood. She sleeps quietly in her crate every night and loves to play with all of her new toys. She is learning not to chase the resident cat - still a work in progress there, but the cat is very afraid of dogs - so a more dog savvy cat could probably teach her pretty quickly that cats are not play things ;)

House training is going fantastic, she is let out several times a day and has been a very fast learner. Paris gets along with every dog she has met - and she has met a TON of other dogs, and is considered submissive.

She is VERY food motivated and eats her meals very fast, she is always on the lookout for a treat, so no food left out on the counter when this girl is around! Whover adopts this sweet little girl will be very lucky, she is a wonderful dog.

PRIOR BIO: This sweet puppy was left at one of our Missouri fosters house with Mia (now adopted) because the locals know that she takes care of stray dogs. Paris was very thin when they she was first left there, but now she is a vibrant and healthy puppy. Paris is super sweet, about six months old (as of 10/2011) and weighs about 20 pounds. She appears to be a lab/terrier mix. Please consider giving this baby a loving and safe home (like her lucky sister got). She will not let you down!!!!!

Donation: $400.00 (includes $140.00 transport fee paid directly to USDA approved transport company)

The adoption donation covers all pre-adoption vet costs (general health exam, vaccinations, heartworm testing/treatment when necessary)

Puppies under the age of 4 months will not be spayed/neutered prior to adoption upon advice of our veterinarians; small dog breeds may not be altered prior to six months if size prohibitive. Paw New England has a spay/neuter program in place with partner vets or if adopter chooses veterinarian of their own choice, reimbursement of $60.00 provided to adopter.

PAWS of New England is not shelter but a rescue and thus is not funded by any city or state organization - we rely solely on the donations of our adopters to help defray the costs associated with saving these precious lives.

We are often asked, ""Why would you charge ""so much"" for a rescue pet? Why not just place it in a good home?" ..... The answer is because we need adopters who are willing to support ALL rescue pets, not just the dog they adopt. A young, healthy dog might cost us $150-400 in discounted vet care, and many people will want to adopt it; an older dog with health issues can easily cost $500-1500 in veterinary expenses, and it may require months of foster care for rehabilitation yet we can only ask a minimal adoption fee, and it may be a long time until anyone comes forward to adopt him/her. Fees from the younger, more adoptable dogs help offset the cost of caring for the others.

Most of our dogs have a sad story to tell, and some have suffered through years of neglect or abuse. We hope that you too are willing to give an opportunity for a better life to ALL of our dogs by supporting them through adoption donations. Without these funds, our rescue efforts would not be possible.

ALL KNOWN INFORMATION IS LISTED HERE. We do our best to give accurate information, but most of our dogs are rescues and do not come with a known history.

Please click on the "Donate" button below to make your adoption donation. If you can not adopt at this time, but would like to support the mission of PAWS New England, we would be endlessly grateful for your donation. PAWS relies entirely on donations and grants to maintain our operating budget. Without the generosity of people like you, we would not be able to save dogs like the one pictured above. Thank you for your support!
