And now, a few words from me:

Ahhhhhh freedom!!! It’s is so wonderful to roam around on the grass, bask in the sun and get the odd treat now and then. This home doesn’t even care that I have an old injury to one of my back legs! You see, I came from one of those puppy mills. Me and a few of my buddies were no longer any use to them anymore so they got rid of us (thank goodness!!!!). Thank you LOYAL for taking me in. I’m never going to be confined to a wire cage for 24 hours a day ever again!

And now, a few words from my foster mom:

Once Tigger arrived to the rescue his rear leg was examined it was determined that he had broken it some time ago. It has healed straight and does not cause him any pain. He does put some weight on it but most of the time it is slightly off the ground. We would have considered re-setting it, but since he has adapted so well the rescue decided against it. The money should go to the dogs that require more urgent medical care.

It does not hamper him in the least! Take a look at the video of him posted above (with the photos).

He can jump up on the couch from carpeted or hardwood flooring with no problem.   He can run around the block on a leash sniffing each tree that he sees.  He can come up the concrete steps from the back into the house.  I am truly amazed with him.  He has also engaged in play with the dogs in the household and did catch him romping around with a stuffed toy in his mouth as well!

When Tigger is not on the move, he is quite content sleeping in his bed.  We are making progress in his housetraining.  He is slowly learning that lifting the leg in the house is unacceptable and is able to be let loose without his belly band on (as seen with it on in one of his pictures ) from time to time.  He knows bedtime and goes straight to the doggie bed that is in the room and not a peep from him until the morning.  Patience is the key and I believe in no time he will be the perfect little dog for someone!
