YaYa German Shepherd Dog & Siberian Husky Mix Round Rock, TX

Yaya was adopted from our group when she was six months old and recently returned. She has blossomed into a gorgeous German Shepherd/Husky mix and has a wonderful playful energy about her.

She loves playing with other dogs. She was afraid of one boy in her last home where she spent most of her life and the family decided it would be better for her to re-homed due to that. She was never aggressive but just would run away from him. In our group we want all family members to love and care for the dogs and vise versa- a calm, safe home is what we strive for - for everyone, especially the furry ones.
Yaya walks well on a leash and loves to be with her people.

This is the update we asked the owner who has had her for a few years to supply for us...

(They named her Olivia)
Olivia is a very sweet, loving and fun dog. She enjoys walking and running on a leash. She gets along great with other dogs. She learned how to swim and really enjoys retrieving a stick from the lake (or pond etc.) There is nothing she likes more than sitting next to someone and having them pet her. She is a good guard dog and will alert you if someone is at the door or walking by. She is still a bit skittish around new people, especially men. She was diagnosed with epilepsy and takes medication twice daily. She has had no seizures if she is on the medication. A 90 day supply cost’s roughly $30.00. She has had 2 urinary tract infections in the last year. I feel she would be best with a woman who is active enough to take her on walks and enjoy her energy. She is fully grown and weighs between 48 and 55 pounds.

We consider dogs to be members of a family. Even with her small health issues we think she deserves people who are willing to care for her even with a little expense involved. She is worth it!
