And now, a few words from me: Hi there! I love to be loved! Snuggling is my favourite thing, next to food of course! I snuggle up with people and with dogs. I love to run around in my foster parents' backyard, and love playing with the other dogs here. I sleep in the bed with my foster parents and cuddle with the little poodle here, every night. Everyone who meets me says I am a good girl, with a cute under bite and soft brindle hair.

And now, a few words from my foster mom: Hugs, also known as Huggy is a very sweet girl. She was rescued after living outdoors in Central Ontario for about 4 years. She is very curious, and a times, will chase birds outside, and brooms and vacuums inside. However, with redirection, she will leave the object in her sights and will leave it alone, for the most part. She is very smart, has excellent recall and has learned "sit" "stay" and "off" in a very short time. With proper training, I do believe that she will learn to leave birds and brooms alone. Hugs is fully house trained, and has had no accidents here, not including her first week, which can be common. Hugs gets along very well with the other dogs in the house, although has gotten in a few disagreements over squeaky toys, with another female in the house. However, this happens on very rare occasions. Hugs always submits in play to the other dogs here, including to a poodle, half her size.
Hugs is brindle in colour, and is very beautiful. Typical of a pug, she sheds a lot and requires regular brushing and grooming. She snores and snorts at night, again typical of a pug. If you are interested in her, and have never owned a pug before, please research the breed as they do shed a lot, can have breathing difficulties, are at greater risk of eye injury, are very sensitive to heat and are prone to food allergies. Hugs is fed a wheat and corn free diet as she is allergic to these items. She will require a premium dog food, to prevent her allergies. Hugs eats her food very, very quickly and currently is using a "portion pacer" to slow down her gulping her food whole. She will do anything for food, and thus all food must be kept out of her reach. She is very food driven and will use her smarts to source out tidbits of food. Hugs walks nicely on a leash, and is great on car rides. She likes to do the "pug run" to tire herself out and would love a playful forever home. Hugs spent her 4 years outdoors with another dog, and has bonded very quickly with the dogs here. I do not think she would do well in a home without other dogs, as she is really very social. Her ideal match would be with another dog that is also playful. Due to her past, she does not do well in a crate, but has no problem with free reign of the house. She loves playing with toys, especially squeaky ones. If Hugs has a slogan it would be "Love Life" as she certainly does!
