Salty is 7 years old and weighs 9 lbs. He is still looking for his forever home with someone that will love him for who he is. He does love to rest with his foster mom on the couch and will also get in his little "man cave" (his crate) for nice long naps.

Sadly, Salty is deaf, making communicating with him a loving challenge. Because of his deafness, he can be easily startled. He is a bit protective of his toys and food, not understanding what is happening. He just needs a lot of love and understanding that "it's going to be okay", from his forever family.

He would do best in a home with one someone that is experienced with deaf dogs and for him being easily startled, someone that has the patience and understanding to work with him and love him unconditionally. If that is your home, please fill out an application!

For now, he will be with his loving foster family in Gainesville, Florida.

Out-of-state adoptions are possible; however, the approved adoptive home is responsible for making the necessary arrangements to pick up their new little one.
