Tara is our little piglet. She is enthusiastic, playful and rolls over readily so her adoring fans can rub her belly. She is under 2 yrs old and would do best as the only pet in the household. She is very strong and needs leash training or a gentle leader so that she can learn not to pull. She's too much dog for small kids, but would probably do fine with dog savvy kids over 8 yrs of age. See her debut in the Scranton Times "Pet of the Week" video of 5/9. She's a keeper.
The shelter is open for adoptions 7 days a week from noon to 4:30. Adopted dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, vaccinated for Distemper and Bordetella and licensed in Lackawanna County. SEE OUR PET OF THE WEEK VIDEOS WITH THE SCRANTON TIMES AT http://www.griffinpondanimalshelter.com
