Patti is a 2 yr old female American Bulldog/pit mix who came to us from the storm-ravaged south last year, where she had been found as a stray. She arrived underweight, with worms, a skin infection, and we found out later, heartworm. This sweet, happy girl has recovered nicely and is now healthy and brimming with energy and enthusiasm for life. She is friendly and very people focused, good with kids, and LOVES to give kisses. She happily greets you, her tail wagging so hard her whole rear end wags right along with it. She wants to be involved in whatever you're doing and will follow her foster mom around all day to 'help' with the chores. She currently lives with three cats and gets along great with them. She likes other dogs and is very good with the little ones. With the larger dogs she can be dominant so would do best with non-dominant dogs and some time to make friends with them. Patti is eager to please, and has learned her basic obedience commands. She is a quick learner, and very treat motivated. She walks well on the leash. although she can pull quite strongly if she sees something exciting like a squirrel or rabbit. She shows no aggression with her toys and food, and doesn't even mind the cat sneaking in and stealing a few bites of her dinner. Patti loves to run around the yard and play! She has an endless supply of energy, and will chase after balls and squeaky toys as long as you're willing to throw them. She also enjoys splashing around in her kiddie pool in the summer, and going for rides in the car. She is crate trained and housebroken, spayed and up to date on her shots. Patti would love a forever home where she can be your best friend, shower you with kisses, and snuggle with you when the day is over.
