Meet INDIGO (LOCAL) (VIDEO)

What is taking you so long - this is one fantastic dog - cuter than cute.

Please contact her adoption coordinator, for more information:
pawsjeanne@gmail.com

This girl was rescued from the Cullman Alabama shelter literally, and we mean, literally, minutes before that town was devastated by tornadoes earlier this year. She is truly one of the lucky ones.

She plays wonderfully in daycare with many dogs - she's like a mama to some puppies that are in her foster home!

Indigo has been in doggie daycare and the employees report that she is a superstar! She is playing all day long with dogs of all sizes and shapes and getting along with them famously! Her foster mom reports that she barely makes it through dinner before she is out like a light.

More photos below, video too!

Looking for a dog that looks different from most of the other dogs in your neighborhood! This is our dog, Indigo, an adorable 40 lbs schnauzer/terrier mix. She's not only pretty, she's unbelievably lucky.

Indigo has a precious scruffy face, but her body is smooth coated and yes, her ears are always like this - one up, one down!

Indigo is housebroken, crate trained, and is doing well on her leash training. She so loves to go on walks, wade in the river, and especially to ride in the car....this girl cannot get enough car time. She is a natural born co-pilot!
She is very gentle around children and seems to gravitate towards men.

Indigo is spayed, up to date on shots, current on preventatives and heart worm negative.

Indigo has been diagnosed with Addison's Disease - It is the common name for hypoadrenocorticism, or adrenal insufficiency. Once Addison's is correctly diagnosed, a properly treated dog can live a normal active life. While your dog with Addison’s disease will need medications and monitoring for the rest of his life, most dogs with Addison’s can return to their favorite activities. You will learn to read your dog, understand what his stress triggers are and follow your instincts in her care. Medication costs approx. 70.00 per month.
