Kira is a gorgeous, friendly four year old Australian shepherd mix. Her two loves in life are people and playing fetch. Combine the two and she is in heaven! She adores getting attention from people and just soaks up the petting -- check it out in the video! She has successfully lived with children and continues to do well with the younger volunteers at the rescue. She thinks fetch is the best game ever invented. Just show her a tennis ball, and she goes wild in anticipation. Rain, sleet,snow or sunshine, Kira is always up for a game of fetch. On top of these great qualities, she is housebroken, knows basic commands, and is extremely intelligent. Have you seen those cool competitions on TV where the dog runs through tunnels and zig zags through obstacles? Kira, with her intelligence and speed, would be great at this! There are many local agility classes available. Speaking of training, Kira is starting 6 weeks of training right now, and the trainer has offered a special package deal to her adopters to allow her to continue the training in her new home. Kira has to be the only pet in the household so she can be successful with her new family and put her new training skills to use. Interested in visiting her?
