Georgia Whippet & Manchester Terrier Mix Columbus, WI

ADOPTED! - Poor Georgia.....She has been in our rescue kennel for a year now, and we still haven't found the right adopter for her. She has waited long enough, and it's time she has a home to call her own, don't you agree? There is absolutely NOTHING "wrong" with Georgia, but she DOES need a safely fenced yard (she loves to run!), and it seems that not many people have fenced yards any more. PLEASE consider Georgia if you would be able to provide her the home she's looking for. HERE IS WHAT GEORGIA HAS TO SAY: Hi, everybody! My name's Georgia! I am a very gentle, fun-loving little girl who was rescued from a shelter that was overcrowded. (They were going to euthanize me to make room for the new dogs. Isn't that sad?) I was an unclaimed stray, but I can't understand why my owners didn't come looking for me because I am so smart and cute and well behaved! (I think I have an interesting color pattern too, don't you?) I love to run and play with other dogs so I want to have a doggie playmate and a large, safely fenced yard (please, no invisible fencing). My foster mom can't figure out what mix of breeds I am, but Petfinder makes her choose her best guess of two, so...she gave it her best shot. She might be totally wrong, though. Maybe I'm some completely different combination of "pedigrees"--like a Beagle/Plott Hound mix. But, whatever I am, I sure am cute--if I DO say so myself! (And no...I don't have any Pit Bull in me! There are a LOT of different breeds--in addition to Pit Bulls--that are brindle-colored like I am. But, rest assured--for those of you who are afraid of Pitties--there is NO Pit Bull in me!) Anyway, back to my "bio"....I'm about two or three years old, I'm housebroken, I weigh 24 lbs. (just the perfect size: not too big and not too small!), I'm crate trained, and I'm very smart! I love people--but I'm not real brave, so my foster mom thinks I shouldn't be adopted by a family with little children because they might scare me. I am somewhat independent and am not "needy" like some dogs are. (Actually, my rescue mom says I'd be the perfect dog for someone who loves cats.) One more thing....my foster mom doesn't want me to be a latchkey dog, so an adopter who works at home, is retired, or just works part time would be perfect for me. I've been immunized, spayed, wormed, heartworm tested, and microchipped. My suggested adoption donation is $250.
