Precious/Princess Rat Terrier Colorado Springs, CO

Precious is a purebred rat terrier about 5 years old. She is house and crate trained, good with older kids, seems fine with cats and is good with other dogs. Princess family fell apart and she was subjected to being in a crate or camper trailer while her owner is away at work 12 hours a day, six days a week. She is sweet and pretty easy going, a good watchdog. Sleeps in her dog bed at nite, but if you wanted a snuggly companion, She likes to snuggle on the couch and even acts like she is watching the TV sometimes! Well housetrained.

Precious needs slow introductions and a good routine in her life. Because of all the upheaval in her life she is fearful of new things and people. She follows me everywhere, comes and goes from her crate indoors, loves to hang out and watch TV in the evening- is a real snuggler. We think she would do best in a home with a woman or smaller family with more quiet and not rambunctious kids. Would be great as a womans companion, loves to travel and is very accustomed to this in her previous owner, rides well in the car.

Moderate energy level, sometimes a wiggle wart, always fun and sometimes comical. ( she is a 'bird watcher' and when she sees them on the line will trot back and forth under the line/bird 'talking to it' not a bark, but a rawowoww owwww little conversation- course the bird is oblivious and completely non responsive, but she gives the bird a 'what for'.
