Curly Sue is an adult Lamancha goat transferred to us from Saving Grace Pet Adoption Center in Roseburg, Oregon. She was named for the way her horns curl close to her head. However, she ended up knocking her horns and breaking them off. Goats do a lot of head-butting. So, we suppose she is now just plane old "Sue". Every now and again the horns grow too close to her head and we trim them back. It just takes a minute and it does not hurt, though, of course, she does not enjoy it. She is a unique-looking girl with her tiny Lamancha ears. Curly Sue is very curious and has made great progress in trusting people. Her favorite activity is laying out soaking up sunshine. She enjoys being scratched and likes to sniff the camera! Often in the morning, when we let her out of the barn, she stops for a moment to say hello and let us rub her cheeks. We just love our sweet "Curly Girly".
