And now a few words from me:

Jack Russell's can have a bad rap, but not me! I may have a lot of energy but I want to burn it off at the dog park, not by misbehaving in my home. When I'm at home I want to sleep on my back while you rub my belly. What's wrong with that?!

I don't quite know where I am just yet but this place is better than the cage I was in last week, or even worse, that van with lots of barking dogs in it. Boy was I glad to get a good night's sleep last night. And this morning I awoke to a long walk in the park and a good play with my new foster brother. He's a little unsure of me but I know I will win him over with my good looks and witty personality.

More from me later. I just heard my brother upstairs and I have to go investigate what he's up to.

And now a few words from my foster mom:
Smoochie arrived safely last night, after a long drive from Ohio. She was turned into a shelter in Ohio because her owner, though he loved her very much, felt that his home wasn't the safest place for her. Thankfully she was pulled from that shelter and has made her way north to our home. She is every bit a puppy. She wants nothing more than to play with her foster brother and any dog she meets at the park.  But Smoochie, while playful and energetic, is just as happy to cuddle on your lap. She is a very affectionate and loving little girl who has already stolen our hearts.

She sleeps well in her crate and is well on her way to being fully house trained. With regular walks and a solid routine, this smart little girl will pick it up in no time. Speaking of walks, she loves them. She walks well on her leash and is very inquisitive while outdoors. She does have to learn some manners where squirrels, birds & cats are concerned. But redirecting her focus when she spots one of these "enemies" seems to work well.

Jack Russell Terriers are little clowns but do need an owner who can focus their energy and help them understand their boundaries. Smoochie is very eager to please and I think she will be a great student.
