Dixie Jack Russell Terrier Libertyville, IL

Dixie is a 10.5 pound Jack Russell Terrier. She is totally adorable and has a teeny little tail stub that never stops wagging. Her whole back end wiggles when she greets people. Dixie came into a Southern Illinois animal control as a stray and waited patiently for someone to come looking for her and no one ever did. Her stray time was up and she needed out asap! She arrived in Libertyville on 4-5-11 and is now looking for a forever home. She has already learned to walk on leash, this was totally foreign to her before she got here. She likes rope toys and to play chase with a small tennis ball or racquetball. She loves things that bounce! Dixie is playful but she is not all all hyper. She has short bursts of energy and then she likes to cuddle. If you are on the couch, she likes to be on your lap, preferably underneath a blanket. She sleeps uncrated on a dog bed in her foster moms room. She sleeps through the night without making a peep and waits for her foster mom to wake up in the morning. She is just as sweet as can be and will make a great companion.
ADOPTION FEE 300.00: The adoption fee includes all age appropriate vaccinations including rabies, HW test if age appropriate, de-worming, microchip, fecal, spay or neuter, Heartworm and flea and tick preventative.

ADOPTION PROCESS: PLEASE READ CAREFULLY
The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an application online at www.placingpawsrescue.org.
Once we review the applications, those applicants that are thought to be a good match will be contacted as quickly as possibly. We ask that you please be patient with us as we are all volunteers. Then a telephone interview will take place, references checked and a home visit will be conducted. We will then arrange for you to meet the dog. We require that all family members, including current dogs meet the dog prior to adoption. We put all of the known information in the animals description. If the animal is listed on the website, we are still accepting applications for that animal. We only remove the animal when the final adoption paperwork is signed.
