Meet Clark (CS)

Meet Clark! Clark has had a rough start in life… he was taken from a backyard breeder who had more than 90 purebred dogs and puppies; it was a man and woman who were married and now are getting divorced - both moved out of their marital house and left all the dogs there. Now in foster care, Clark is finally getting the attention he needs.

Clark is pretty shy when you first meet him but will warm up after he realizes that you won’t hurt him. He obviously hasn’t had much human contact in his past but his foster family is making sure he’ll have lots of attention from here on out. He likes to play and run around outside. And he is getting along great with his new furry-friend Clair (also posted on here and came from the same place as Clark).

As you can tell from the pictures, Clark is a fuzzy ball of fur and he has the cutest face! He has shown no aggression towards anyone and is slowly coming out of his shell. Won’t you consider adopting this very sweet baby boy???

Clark is a pure bred Pomeranian who is 4 months old as of this listing (per the breeder's registration papers). He is 4.8 pounds, up-to-date on vaccines, too young to be neutered, and too young to be tested for heartworms. Clark is on monthly heartworm and flea prevention.

Neutered/Spayed: Too young to be neutered. Adopter will be required to sign a spay/neuter contract in addition to the standard adoption contract.

Adoption Donation: $450 inclusive of transport $125

THIS PUPPY IS NOT ALTERED - any dog under 6 months of age is too young to be altered. Tufts Veterinary School has several programs for rescued dogs including a free spay/neuter clinic during certain times of the year and a Friday spay/neuter clinic at VERY discounted prices; we are happy to arrange the Friday appointment and cover the cost of the procedure. If you wish to have the surgery done by your own veterinarian, PAWS NE will refund the adopter $60.00 toward surgery once proof of the alteration is provided. Adopter will be required to sign a spay/neuter contract.

Unless otherwise stated, all of our dogs are located outside of Rhode Island boarded either at one of our vet clinics or in foster care. If a dog is listed as "local," he /she is at one of our foster homes in New England.

PAWS NE is often asked, "Why would you charge "so much" for a rescue pet? Why not just place it in a good home?" The answer is because we need adopters who are willing to support all rescue pets, not just the dog they adopt. A young, healthy dog might cost us $150-400 in (discounted) vet care, and many people will want to adopt it. An older one with health issues can easily cost $500-1500 in veterinary expenses, and it may require months of foster care for rehabilitation; yet we can only ask a minimal adoption fee, and it may be a long time until anyone comes forward to adopt it. Fees from the younger, more adoptable dogs help offset the cost of caring for the others. Most of our dogs have a sad story to tell, and some have suffered through years of neglect or abuse. We hope that you too are willing to give an opportunity for a better life to ALL of our dogs by supporting them through adoption fees. Without these funds, our rescue efforts would not be possible.

ALL KNOWN INFORMATION IS LISTED HERE. We do our best to give accurate information, but most of our dogs are rescues and do not come with a known history.
