Meet Bones

UPDATE : Bones is now in foster care in VT . , Bones is somewhere between 10-12years old. He is quite the goofy fellow if I might say. He adores people and craves being loved... he loves to be pet, hugged, kissed, played with and entirely enjoys snuggling up with you if allowed. He is at least 100 pounds if not more...I . Whatever his weight may actually be, he looks very healthy weight wise. He loves both genders of the human race, however he does tend to favor women a bit more...but still values the companionship and love of a man. I believe he would be ok with children...he has never shown aggression towards my 3 year old nephew, but he is so anxious to be with people that a small child may accidentally get pushed over easily .

He loves baths...tries to bite the water coming out of the hose as if its a game, but once you start scrubbing him down he sits and just takes it all in. He also loves to roll around on the ground outside as if he was a horse...and belly rubs are totally his weak spot. He0 needs slow introduction with other dogs , however I personally brought him to a Rottie behavioral specialist and he says he has potential to be placed with another dog...but preferably a female...he will need a bit of training...but shows instant signs of gratification at the evaluation. Got along with the female within about 30mins...only showed protectiveness when the other dog came near his food (NO food aggression with humans though).

There was a little bit about his personality, now some info on his health and appearance....now that my sister has a child, this amazing animal has taken a back seat in her life . Bones is a VERY handsome Rottie. He doesn't have the best of legs....definitely has some arthritis and being downstairs on a hard cement floor doesn't help the problem. Stairs are a bit difficult for him, but I truly believe with some daily exercise and some supplements (preferably Cosequin DS---which I know is an excellent supplement for my 10 year dog takes them and is doing wonderful with her once bad arthritis) Bones can have some better functioning legs.
