Speedy-ADOPTION PENDING Tibetan Terrier Charlotte, NC

Hi Friends! My name is Speedy! I just had a birthday and turned one year old. I am a Tibetan Terrier that was turned over to a high kill shelter when my owner died. No one wanted me and they proved that by dumping there! I was so scared! Who were these people and where was my mommy? I sure hope my mommy knows what kind of family she left behind to take care of me - I hope she haunts them for all of eternity! Ok, so I am not bitter in the least! So here is a little about me. My name is Speedy... because I speed around the yard and love to play! I like dogs that are smaller than me - my best friend at my foster home is the resident schnauzer. She plays with me all of the time. I am curious of those little creatures that my foster mom calls cats though - I am not sure why they don't like playing with me. Oh, I gotta go play now - my foster mom will tell you more about me.

Speedy spent his first birthday in on a cold, wet concrete floor with no cake, no candles, no presents and no one to love him! He was scared! He wasn't sure of his fate, but mainly he lost hope in ever being loved again. His elderly owner had recently passed away and left him in the care of her children, who dumped him and he didn't know why. Till one day. An email was sent to several folks with a date on it - that was D day.. DEAD day for Speedy! I quickly called the shelter, put him on hold and told them I would pick up Speedy. He was terrified when I went to meet him. He cowered and wouldn't make eye contact. I talked to him the whole way home and by the time we arrived home, his spirits were up, his tail was up and the sadness in his eyes was beginning to turn to twinkles. Over the course of the week, Speedy was updated on his shots, neutered, microchipped and groomed. He is now ready for his forever home.
