Meet Ziggy
Ziggy was born 7/08 and has been with our rescue since 1/2011. This 120# pooch was transferred from a different humane society that was euthanizing for space. That humane society did not transfer records to us therefore we do not know how he arrived at that shelter.
Ziggy is a puppy at heart, and would do well in any home. He has a lower exercise requirement and while he'd enjoy a daily walk, he also doesn't mind staying in if the weather isn't nice. Ziggy loves attention from everyone and really enjoys the hugs and interaction he gets from children. Ziggy is food motivated and enjoys spending his time lounging on his dog bed chewing on a rawhide. Ziggy will alarm bark at strangers, but has never met anyone he doesn't love.
Ziggy is good with other dogs and enjoys his canine playgroup. Ziggy appears to be interested in the shelter cats, but not fixated. He ignores the lounging ones and shows mild interest in the active ones, but is very respectful. Because of his size, if Ziggy's new home has cats, they need to be sure to ensure a smooth and safe integration into the household.
Ziggy is crate trained, but we can not be sure if he is house trained. Ziggy's adoption fee is $370.
Adoption Information:
Adoption clinics are held every Saturday from 10am – 2pm at PetsMart, 2216 E. Springs Drive. Most of our available dogs can be visited at that time. If you have an approved application, an appointment may be made to meet a dog at a different time. Our dogs have all been spay/neuter, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested, current on flea/tick prevention and heartworm prevention. We take care of any veterinary care prior to adoption. We offer a $50 rebate to adopters who complete a training class and send in proof of completion within 4 months of adoption. Please fill out an application if you are interested in adopting from us.
