Date - Introducing Jasper!
Jasper is a fun loving guy who is just over a year old. He is a very tall IG as well. He still has the energy of a puppy sometimes, while at other times he is content to lay in the sunshine. He loves a wide variety of toys, especially if he can get either another dog to one of his people to join in the fun. He loves to zoom around the yard and try and get someone to chase him.


Jasper is a special dog because he is deaf. Most people would not notice this right away because he is very attentive to his environment and visual cues. He is very intelligent and is starting to learn some basic hand signals. He also pays attention to the other dogs in the house and will take their lead when something is going on that he can’t hear.


He loves to snuggle under the covers at night or on the couch in the evening. He has also been known to curl up in various dogs’ beds near his people when they are busy.


He can be very overly enthusiastic when trying to get other dogs to play with him, but can be re-focused with a toy easily. He loves car rides and walks around the neighborhood. He does well going outside but does need a consistent schedule. He is doing well with kennel training, but does have some separation anxiety in the form of howling for the first few minutes that he cannot see someone. He is getting better with this.


He is very outgoing and is looking for a home that has plenty of love to share!
