Hepburn Domestic Short Hair Chicago, IL

There was no casting call for orange cats this recent, frigid January morning. This gentle, green eyed beauty was simply looking for a meal on a movie set in a poor Chicago neighborhood. Fortunately, she found an animal lover willing to fill her tummy. Breakfast was chicken soup (hold the onion, please!), so this little cat patiently waited around, hoping that she was invited to lunch as well.

When Chicago Cat Rescue arrived over four hours later, Hepburn was still there. An area resident said she had been wandering the neighborhood in search of food for months. What was obvious to all didn't seem to produce the desired outcome for Hepburn. She remained homeless and hungry.

We'll remember that cold January day as the day our Hepburn was "discovered". There's no feistiness in this little girl. But her will to survive makes us think of her redheaded namesake. Now, given a chance, we believe her future is bright.

Although she's just a youngster at two years of age, Hepburn has the demeanor of an "old soul". Even tempered and patient, this beautiful girl will settle in easily into any home. But even old souls can be young at heart! If her foster siblings could talk, they'd tell you that Hepburn can romp with the best of them!
