Meet Zeus

Zeus is a handsome Pit mix puppy who was born in November 2010. He has a lovely white coat with brindle markings, cute perky ears and an incredibly sweet face!

Zeus is your typical energetic, playful, cuddly and happy-go-lucky puppy. He's currently living in a foster home where he's socializing with people and other animals, and he's also practicing good doggy behaviors. This puppy is a LOVER! Zeus is always looking for an empty lap to occupy. He really likes everyone and seems to be eager to please and to be close to all of us. He's getting along quite well with the other dogs. He's got a pretty laid back and gentle disposition. He's likes toys, but so far we really have not had much issue with him chewing things he shouldn't. We he does start to chew on something he responds to correction immediately. He sleeps all night without having to go out. He is working on potty training and is making good progress.

Zeus is sure to bring hours of fun into your life, and he only asks for a few simple things in return: yummy food, water, a nice cozy spot to sleep in, and most of all - lots of TLC!!!

****His adoption fee is $225.****

The Animal Rescue Project is committed to the best possible veterinary care for the pets it rescues—and it is looking for adopters who will be similarly committed.

All dogs and puppies are given a general check-up when they enter our program. They receive medication to remove any intestinal parasites (worms), fleas, and ticks they may have. Dogs greater than six months of age are checked for heartworm. If heartworm positive, the Animal Rescue Project treats the disease. Dogs and pups receive all age-appropriate vaccinations for distemper, and dogs greater than four months of age are also vaccinated for rabies, in compliance with State of Michigan laws.

Most dogs and older puppies are spayed or neutered before adoption. In the case of puppies not old enough to be safely sterilized, a $25 deposit is required at the time of adoption and is refunded to the adopter with proof of sterilization.

All Animal Rescue Project pets also receive a Home Again microchip prior to adoption and one month of free medical insurance. The Animal Rescue Project requires every adopter to establish an active relationship with a veterinarian no later than 10 days after adoption. Adopters will receive a plan for routine veterinary care at the time of adoption and are expected to work with their vet to complete the plan.
