Meet Lucy! She is a 1-yr-old German Shepherd mix. Lucy is a very mellow, 1-2 year old shepherd mix. She's a sweet, submissive girl, good with other dogs, mostly ignores cats, and is very, very loving. She is slightly nervous in new environments, and looks to her person for direction. Despite being nervous, she's never been disagreeable: she allows her paws, tail, mouth and food bowl to be handled without any complaint, and was even perfectly behaved in the bath! She's very, very smart and a good listener, and would likely do well off-leash, since she's got a great recall. She is able to figure out some door latches, and will jump over a 4-foot fence to chase squirrels, so a home with an electric fence or with lots of room to roam would be best for her. She does well with kids though she prefers a calmer environment, so a home with older kids, dog-savvy kids, or just adults would be best. She is housebroken, doesn't pull on the leash, knows 'sit' and 'down' and will be a quick study for obedience classes.

Her adoption fee is $200 and covers the cost of the dogs spay or neuter, vaccines, preventative medications, microchip and 30 day free trial pet insurance.
