Meet Trace - ADOPTED!
Hi, let me introduce myself – I am Trace Oliver Jackson and I am a southern boy. But I do have to say that I am really enjoying being here in Maine. I went to the beach the other day – that was a whole lot of fun. I particularly liked running through the marsh grass and splashing my foster sister! She likes putting her face in the water – but not me. Another thing that I like to do is to chase and catch bugs. My foster mom laughs every time I go running after some flying insect and then start jumping in the air to try and catch it. I love to snuggle – especially with my foster mom and sister. The only problem with that is I take up a whole lot of room on the bed!
I am about 10 months old right now. I weigh about 70 pounds and my vet seems to think that I will end up being around 80 pounds when I grow up. Even though I am big – I sometimes get scared by strangers (especially people in hats). I have done really well with my house training. My foster mom thinks I am a really smart boy. I do really well on a leash – except if there is a bug flying by! My crate is not my favorite place to be – and I can be very vocal about that! But I do go in with no problem and do eventually quiet down.
Everyone who meets me tells me how handsome I am. They love my brindle coloring and my big white paws. My foster mom says that I am ‘very low maintenance’ – whatever that means. For a puppy I am very mellow, not a whole lot of energy, and do not like to run all that much. I do like to find those little squeaker things in stuffed toys – I feel it is my mission to find it within 5 minutes of getting a new one!
I am looking for a forever home that will let me snuggle, and I prefer another dog or people that are home a lot. I would like someplace that is rather quiet, with or without kids. I just want a home that will love me and appreciate me for smart and handsome boy that I am.
We would love to find this adorable guy the loving home he deserves. Please visit our web site here to find out about our adoption process.
**Please note: we do not have a physical location, we are supported by a network of wonderful foster homes that are spread throughout New England. A dog will need to be visited by a prospective adopter in the foster home where they are feeling safe and comfortable.**
Thank you for considering rescue!
