Meet *Barnum MISSING?
Update 6.4.11 Barnum is MIA. He was evacuated from the pound during recent flooding and escaped from the temporary kennel. We continue to look for him.
Update 3.26.11: It has been a couple months since Barnum was brought to the pound. He has gained weight and confidence and is ready for a good home. He plays well with other dogs but sometimes the bigger boys pick on him as he is still a submissive fellow. He has been at the pound too long and so is considered at risk.
This scared, cold beagle mix was caught in a live trap 1/9/11. He was shaking quite a bit, so Jan moved him inside the Pound 1/10. He led OK on the leash, has a collar, but pretty scared. He did fine with Cinder in his cage. Estimated weight is 35-40#. He is about 2 years old.
Dogs in the Rowan County K-9 Shelter receive their first dhppl vaccination (parvo/distemper) upon arrival at the pound. Rabies vaccine and spay/neuter surgery can be done for the $50 adoption fee. Please note rabies vaccine and surgeries are NOT done on site and dogs must be adopted before they receive rabies vaccine or surgery.
