Yogi Golden Retriever & Beagle Mix San Diego, CA

Little Yogi is the hold out puppy of Mrs. Bernstein's litter. He's a little 23 lber at 4 months old, so he'll probably be his mom's size of 47 lbs when full grown. Yogi has the golden, silky coat of a Golden Retriever, but won't be nearly that large. He's almost fully house broken & completely crate trained. He grew up with his entire litter, so he's got terrific doggie manners. He loves other dogs & plays well with them & his social ques are spot on (i.e. he has great doggie language).

Yogi & his siblings were born on 10/22/10 & we rescued the entire litter, including mama dog, Mrs. Bernstein, from the shelter when they were set to be put to sleep. Mrs. Bernstein was a good mama & taught her brood well, but Yogi's fearless leader & best buddy is now Spunk, a fun-loving Beagle/Corgi mix. Wherever you see Spunk, Yogi's not far behind.

Yogi took his first trip to Fiesta Island last week & had a blast. After the initial nervousness of a new environment, Yogi fell in line with his 4 legged friends & performed beautifully off-leash. He stuck with the pack, came when called, greeted any new dog beautifully & got used to meeting new people. He's a great little guy who will do terrifically in a home with another pooch, especially, since he so enjoys the companionship.
