Meet Jake (new photos)

Jake is just 2 years old. He's a "clean shaven", handsome, and clever boy with a lithe build and an easy to groom coat. He's agile, playful and gets along with almost every dog. He is housebroken, crate trained, knows his basic obedience commands including walking nicely on leash, sit, down, and stay and comes to his name very well too. He'd be a great dog for agility or obedience, but mostly he wants a family of his own to love.

Jake's hair loss is due to inheriting dermatomyositis (DM) and not getting the right diagnosis as a puppy. But with a pill twice a day (which he loves to take in his Pill Pockets), his condition is stable. He will require sunscreen applied TO HIS NOSE & FACE if he'll be outdoors for long periods of time but that’s it!

Jake is very loving, active, food motivated and well trained. Likes to go outside with his person and loves to chew rawhides. Trained so that he can pass the CGC quickly, housebroken and crate trained, but very sensitive to gun shot noises. Gets along well with neutered males and female dogs and doesn’t’ bully them! Good bark to deter intruders but doesn’t just bark to hear himself make noise. His DM is well under control with his medication and dog food free of corn. Very food motivated but not fat at all!

If you might have room in your family for Jake or would simply like more information about him, please contact Teri at furfun5@gmail.com. He's a snuggle bunny who would love a forever home.

Please help Jake celebrate Thanksgiving being thankful for a new loving, forever home!
