Cori (Corales) American Staffordshire Terrier Mix Calgary, AB

Cori is a 5 year old 35 lb American Staffordshire Terrier Mix who came to Canada with her puppies who are now all adopted. Cori's mothering abilities didn't disappear after her puppies left, she just adores human children also! She would be great with an active person or family as she is a high energy girl who loves walks, running, playing fetch and hide and go seek. Despite her exuberance and energy, at the end of the day nothing is better than a snuggle and perhaps a few goodnight kisses. Cori wants nothing more than to please her family and is a very fast learner! She is house trained, crate trained, knows basic commands and is always working on new tricks.

Cori is good on leash, however she gets overstimulated when seeing other dogs. Her reactions toward dogs are entirely fear based and although she doesn't want to hurt them, she approaches them with a "I need to get them before they get me" approach. Cori would excel with a strong leader she can trust to help build her confidence while not allowing her to get too "bossy". There are several amazing fear classes that Cori would greatly benefit from to allow her to live a less fearful life, and perhaps someday even have some four legged friends of her own.
