On Oct 29 & 30, 2010, a team from Southside Animal Shelter went to Mexico, MO to one of the largest dog auctions on one of the largest puppy mills in the country. This operation was being shut down due to numerous USDA violations and bad publicity. We were determined to keep as many dogs as we could from going back into the puppy mill system. This is one of the survivors; if you would like to give this dog a real home for the first time in its life please contact me at robin@ssasi.org. This is our little Miss Sunshine. She is so happy to have people give her love and attention. She loves to be held and who can resist that little face. She's getting used to treats and toys, which she probably never had in her young life, but that will all change now. She'g going to have her own home and a place in a real family.
