Meet Stone

Hi, I'm Stone. I know it's hard to imagine how someone could discard me like the trash...but they did. After people had me for some time, they dumped me at a high-kill shelter in central NJ where I sat for 7 days. After that, my time was up and I was in serious danger and scheduled to be euthanized. Luckily, a nice employee from the shelter emailed Hug-a-Bunny and they came and got me (and adopted Hug-a-Bunny Sky) that very day. Even one more day and I would have been put to sleep for no reason! I'm been now living in my loving foster home for two years and I'm still patiently waiting for my home to come along. I know they are out there and will find me soon! I'm a stunning male, about 3 1/2-4 years old, neutered, and completely litterbox trained! I would love to be a free roam bunny!I actually am free roam in my foster home!
Anyway, after a short stop at a local county shelter, I came to my amazing foster home and immediately started learning new things. I learned that you can trust humans (it feels good when they pet my head), that I LOVE greens (I don't think I'd ever tried them before), and how nice it feels to be in a warm, loving home. Each day is a new adventure for me. As soon as my foster mom wakes up and comes into my room, I run up to her to say good morning. I can't wait to get more hay in the morning (I LOVE my hay!) and love every new day that comes my way! I'm a free roam boy and I'm very well-behaved. I like to explore and relax all day long!
I am a stunning large blue-grey male lop. My eyes are brownish-grey as well. I am really a sight to see! My fur is shiny and glistens when I hop. I am a healthy boy and weigh around 10 pounds...and I'm not overweight! I'm just a big boy looking for a family to love me! I'm perfect with my litterbox (not a poop out of place) and I was neutered. I'm all ready for a home of my own!
While I'm more trusting of people now, I still have a long way to go. In the right home, I will flourish and continue to blossom. However, I'm not too keen on having a home with kids. As it is, fast or loud movements still startle me, and I would really love a rabbit-experienced home that can give me the time I need to trust them. I was briefly adopted in April of 2012, but returned quickly. It turns out they just weren't a match for me. Since coming back to my foster home, I've been happy, but I am learning again how to trust. Once I do get comfortable in a new place, I'll be your best friend forever...although I also do love my time alone! Although I'm handsome and I know many people will be interested in me, I am looking for the perfect match for my temperament. I can still get startled and don't think I want to share my living quarters with another rabbit. That being said, I do have other rabbits who live in the room with me, we just don't play together! Please email hugabunny@gmail.com if you think you could be my human match!  Love, Stone
