Meet Cash

CASH's Meet Your Match Feline-alityTM is PERSONAL ASSISTANT (Orange)

You're working on the computer? Let me press the keys. Reading the paper? I'll hold the pages down for you. Watching TV? I'll just plop on your lap so you can pet me. I love an orderly household, don't you? I'll help you with all your chores, and I'll help you relax when we're done. You'll wonder how you ever managed without me.

Interesting Stuff About CASH:

Cash is an irrepressible, playful, and outgoing guy with handsome markings. He loves attention and is currently acting as greeter cat in the glass cage in the shelter's lobby. There you will find this two-year old boy attacking his toys, rolling around, watching the sights outside the windows, and trying to entice visitors into his cage for a round of petting and playing . Because Cash is a young and rowdy boy who likes to play a little rough sometimes, he'd be best in a home with no small children. Older cat respectful kids should be fine. A busy, interactive household would be a great environment for him. The more people around to play with him and love him, the better. He'd also prefer to be the only cat. He was adopted and returned when he was a little too "assertive" with the other cat in the household. He got along fine with the dog, however.

Cash was originally found by a rescuer and taken to a veterinary hospital for a checkup. There it was discovered he's FIV+. That's not a deal breaker, however. He can't give this to humans or other animals who are not cats. But it does mean he must be the only cat in the household or in a household with only other FIV+ cats. Cash doesn't understand why you'd need another cat anyway. He thinks he's interesting enough and loving enough and playful enough to merit being your one and only.

An anonymous donor will pay 50% of the adoption fee for any FIV+ cat who is adopted.

Cats diagnosed with FIV can lead long & healthy lives. Because CAT feels so strongly that they will remain healthy and wishes to provide a sense of support, a Wellness Certificate is issued upon adoption.

These certificates provide the following, free of charge, for one year after adoption:
Annual preventative health care.
Comprehensive health exam after 11 months.
Any veterinary (CAT Hospital) care required that is related to the cat's FIV status.
