Birdie-URGENT!! Plott Hound & Boxer Mix Manistee, MI

UPDATE 02-14-11: Birdie has been at the shelter much too long. Imagine how small her concrete kennel must feel, especially since she is a larger dog. Birdie just adores being around people and is looking for just the right person or family that will love her forever.






Birdie came to the shelter as a stray in September. She's about 2 to 3 years old, spayed, and probably housebroken. She loves people, and gets along with other dogs as long as they will let her be the boss (Birdie is definitely a dominant dog). She would also do best with a new owner that has experience with dogs and can be the leader. She weighs about 70 pounds, and loves to play, so a home with a little room would be best. Birdie walks great on a leash and just loves when volunteers come out and take her out walking.

The adoption fee for a mixed breed, spayed or neutered dog is $125.00. The adoption fee for small/toy breed dogs and "designer" dogs is $150.00. The adoption fee for purebred dogs is $200.





The adoption fee for a puppy or dog that is NOT spayed or neutered is $75, plus a refundable $50 spay/neuter deposit (refunded upon proof from your vet that your new pet has been spayed or neutered in accordance with the spay/neuter contract).





Please note that we update petfinder once a week (usually on Sunday evenings). That means some of the pets we have listed may have already been adopted. That also means we almost always have other pets available that are not listed on petfinder yet.
