My foster Mom says I am one very special girl in more ways than one.
See, I am a 3-legged Blue Italian Mastiff in an English Bulldog rescue! One late night 2 weeks ago someone came into my backyard and took me to a place filled with other dogs in kennels.
My leg hurt, and I was scared and hungry. I was in my yard with no food, no water and something had happened to one of my legs. I am told that my old owner had passed away.
Dehydrated, starving and bleeding I was whisked away and ended up at a place called Animal Control. Some very nice, gentle ladies went on a search to find something called a “rescue” for me. They found IEBR. Because of that I was able to go to the hospital and get my leg wound taken care of, so now I have 3 legs.
I’m adjusting as well as can be expected on getting around with a missing limb, I get up and down and walk around but still tire easily right now.
The Doctor estimates my age to be about 6 years old and so far in good health, I am going back very soon to get something called a “spay” so they will know more about my health after some blood tests.
I get along with my foster brothers and sisters, and even some creature called a cat. No food aggression, loving, sweet, and would really love to be your lap-girl. I just want to be close to my foster Mom at all times, so I walk around behind her waiting for her to slow down and let me crawl back into her lap.
I bark, or get up and anxiously pace if I need to go outside potty. Which I am proud to say I can do all by myself without assistance anymore. I’m healing fast!
I do have your basic mastiff traits, so if you apply to adopt me please be sure you are aware of them. I quickly become very protective of my house and everything in it!
