Stu is a stunning German Shepherd. He has a very expressive face and loves people. He is estimated to be about 7 months old and currently weighs 64 pounds; he still has some filling out to do. His previous owner moved out of the country and could not take him along. He is now looking for a new home, one with someone who has knowledge of his breed, will take the time to exercise his energy, and help him be the best dog he can be. His ears and eyes are always engaged to his surroundings and he is a very smart boy too. He is currently living at the SPCA Pet Rescue and Adoption Center and would enjoy meeting you. Dogs adopted from SPCA of Southwest Michigan have received the following:
*Spay or neuter surgery,
*Rabies vaccination,
*Bordatella nasal vaccination, up-to-date at the time of adoption,
*DHPP or DHLPP vaccination, up-to-date at the time of adoption,
*Generalized de-worming,
*Minimum of one fecal test for parasites,
*Heartworm test (adult dogs only),
*Preventative treatment for fleas and ticks,
*Preventative treatment for heartworm,
*Micro-chip for identification, transferred to adopter.

Individuals adopting pets from the SPCA of Southwest Michigan must agree to establish a relationship with a veterinary clinic within 10 days of the date of adoption for ongoing care of the animal.

If a dog is too young to be spayed/neutered at the time of adoption, adopters receive a refund of a $25 deposit upon documentation that the sterilization procedure (paid by SPCA) is complete.
