Samuel is 1 yo, golden retrvr / chow mix,
All dogs are special, but some dogs just make your heart sing--that's our Samuel! He is a bundle of flowing golden fur with the charming dark muzzle and tongue of the chow.
He seems to have the personality of a golden boy as he even leans into strangers, trusting that they will return the love that he delivers with wags of that gorgeous tail and kisses with that remarkable chow tongue. Despite the fact that it must have been painful, he allowed a total stranger to brush out his badly matted tresses when he came to us from a rural shelter, and he repaid that stranger with the best kisses ever. Add to that, he is also friendly with other dogs, does not pull too much on a leash (needs a little training), loves belly rubs, and still has some playful puppy left in him (estimated to be about 2 yrs). He is going to be a great addition to the lucky family that gives this sweet boy a forever home.
