Rufio Papillon & Pug Mix Plain City, OH

Meet Rufio! a 1-yr-old Chi/Cavalier Spaniel mix rescued from a high-kill shelter in Carroll County. He is friendly and so playful! He gets along with other dogs and is always trying to get them to play with him. He is also very affectionate with people. Here is what his foster mom has to say about him, "Rufio has been a joy to have as a foster dog. He is loving, playful, and well behaved. He will play fetch with you, chew on his toy by himself, or lay at your feet and be content doing any one of those. He rides well in the car, stays in the backseat without being harnessed. He has not destroyed anything in my home, nor had any accidents. He stays in the crate when I am gone and at night without barking or making any disruptions. He plays well with other dogs, whether they are half his size or three times his size. He is a bundle of energy, but loves his naps as well. I have not had the opportunity to have him outside off the leash, but I imagine he would absolutely love it! I have taken him on walks through the park and on busy sidewalks, he interacts fine with adults, children, and other dogs; definitely an attention grabber. He also loves the snow. We are working on commands, he knows sit, lay down, and how to get his toy; shake is the next one. Rufio is an all around good dog! He would love to have a playmate and someone to snuggle with!"

His adoption fee is $200 and covers the cost of the dogs spay or neuter, vaccines, preventative medications, microchip and 30 day free trial pet insurance.
