Meet Sadie- ADOPTED!

Welcome to Motley Zoo Animal Rescue. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit animal rescue organization that is run entirely by volunteers. Motley Zoo does not have a brick and mortar shelter location. Instead, all our rescue animals are cared for in private foster homes where the animals receive one-on-one care and attention in a home environment until permanent placement is found. For more information, please visit www.motleyzoo.org.

Health: Sadie has been spay/neutered, microchipped, flea treated, dewormed, and is current on vaccines. She was also given a dental so her teeth are pearly white!

She came to us with a pinched nerve injury in her back and is healing. She needs crate rest for a few weeks- although she is rip rearing to go too! She wants to take her walks and play, but she does need some more reast before getting back to normal. She also needs a home with few stairs. The inhury is not permanent or threatening to her well being, but it can come and go over time- especially if she aggravates it on too many stairs. This is a common problem with long backed dogs.

Your adoption donation goes toward the cost of this vet care as well as transportation and general care costs. In addition, all pets adopted from Motley Zoo come with 30 days of free pet insurance provided by Shelter Care.

History: Sadie found herself in need of a new home when she hurt her back- and her family had a 3 level townhome! She simply cannot do that many stairs in the future, and needs a 2 story or rambler home. Motley Zoo Animal Rescue was asked to find her a great forever family and that’s exactly what we plan to do!

Notes from Sadie’s Foster Home: Sadie is a wonderful dog and she is full of life. She is doing great with her recovery, though you will have to watch her, because on a moment's notice she will try and play...she doesn't let anything keep her down! She does however also crate very well, and is quiet and easy going inside- she just knows outside means fun, walks and friends!

Sadie has lived with other dogs and cats- and currently has some cat companoins. She is doing alright with them, though as she is cooped up she wants to play, and sometimes chase. The cats are minding their own and it isn't all the time- we know it is hard for her to be still when she wants to run! It is not a dangerous situation by any means, and we are sure once she can start doing longer walks and play with other dogs, then she will be less likely to seek out the felines as playmates.

Sadie is a wonderful dog, and loves everyone and everything. She would make a great dog for a family, and has lived with kids too. She is a soft and sweet dog with a gentle soul- and some ants in her pants! You will love this sweet girl!

Motley Zoo Animal Rescue does not have a shelter location. All rescues are housed in private volunteer foster homes. Please email adopt@motleyzoo.org and request an adoption application and we will work toward approving you as an adopter with our rescue so that we can set a time for you to meet!

Thank you for considering adopting a dog in need!
