Meet Vana

Vana was born in February 2010; she is full grown and weighs 10 lbs. She is very sweet, loving and affectionate; everyone that takes the time to get to know Vana loves her! Vana may be ideal for an adult home or older kids that can respect her space when she wants it. Vana is good with other dogs after she gets to know them, she does not appreciate a dog right in her face at the first greetly, slowing and surely when she is comfortable, it's all good, she has lived in her foster home with 2 other dog with no incident except minor growl to say I need some space. Vana has met cats and it was a non issue she seemed interested and curious, but no barking or chasing them. Vana loves toys and to romp and play, she also loves to sit in the sun and just enjoy the day when she tuckers out, she'd be great if you like sitting outdoors in the morning with your best friend and a cup of coffee or tea. Toys, sunbathing.. yes she loves those, but her favorite thing is people! Vana loves women and men and she does not discriminate, just happy to have some adult human companionship so she's looking for a person or couple willing to incorporate her into as many activities as possible... you're off and doing something.. she has the me too! attitude. But she's not all go-go-go... just want to chill and be quiet for a bit, no problem, she would love to amuse you while you watch TV or just curl up with you on the couch or in her bed beside your feet as you work at computer (this is what she does at my house after she has had playtime.....resting at my feet in her bed). Vana does very well on leash as long as she has a harness but needs to learn a few more manners about how to greet or ignore other dogs while out walking. Vana has been crate training and is almost completely potty trained and will just need some reinforcement when she goes to her new home (note, although she is a year and a half, her potty training only started a month ago when she moved out of the kennel and into a foster home... she is in the past week has had one accident(10/14). Vana's flaw is that she does guard toys and we are going to start addressing this with training, her new owner will need to reinforce that training, she also needs to work on leash manners and ignore other dogs when out walking.....but we believe both are correctible and should not prevent her from being a wonderful family member. It may take a little work, but we know she is worth it. This dog has been spayed, micro chipped, wormed and is current with all the shots. Vana has it all going for her, all she needs is a great family to call her own. Won’t you consider making her part of your family? Her adoption fee is$150.There are several more videos of vana on youtube user jdepaul2
