Greyhound Mix: An adopted dog in Altoona, PA

AGE: 21 months (January, 2009)
COLOR: Dark Blue Brindle
HISTORY: Went through training but never raced.
Sage and her littermate Paprika just arrived on Friday 8/27. They are both small girls with golden eyes. Very pretty, but also very timid at present. They appear to be bonded and rely on each other and both still need to be spayed (appointment is for Sept 9th). At this time we are giving adoption priority to an adopter who is familiar with greyhounds and who will adopt both sisters together.
More information soon as we learn more about these two little beauties.
9/4/10: Due to their shy nature, these two girls need a home with a securely fenced yard.. They would also not do well in a home with small children or lots of noise and activity. They are affectionate once they warm up to their care giver, but it will take time and patience to make them feel secure.

10/4/10: Sage is the bouncier and more energetic of the two. She LOVES to run, run, run in the yard and is a delightful little girl. She will come to be petted when called and readily takes treats from your hand. She pounces and plays with a small mixed breed dog in her foster home.
11/4: Paprika has been adopted and Sage is now in a new foster home where she is adjusting quite well without her sister. She is living with three small dogs and is content and happy. She seems to shy away from men more so than women, but all-in-all is becoming very comfortable with her new environment.
