Hello I am Nared. I am a very sweet Sheltie/Papillon mix (they think). I am about 10 months old and 15lbs. I am approximately 15" at the withers. I have quite a bit of energy and would make an excellent running partner as well as a great agility dog. I am very smart and respond well to correction. I am crate trained and house trained. I know off, sit, and stay without distractions - I am working on these with distractions and doing great. I have wonderful recall and am very easy to train. I am a very happy boy. I love to play and run. I am full of spunk and energy, but also loves to curl up in your lap and next to you for attention. I am not too fond of grooming or baths right now, but working on it. I do like jumping up on people and things so I am still working on my manners, but I am still a puppy. I would probably be best in a home without young kids as I will knock them over with my excitement. I really do like treats, attention and praise. I do need a fenced yard to run in and would do fine with a playmate or without if I have proper exercise. I am a remarkable dog and would very much LOVE to find a home of my own.

FOSTER UPDATE

I LOVE this dog. It's going to be hard to see him go! He would do well with a family that wants to do dog sports, jogging, older kids to play with, or an active family. This weekend he is going with his foster family to a fly ball/agility tournament that his foster siblings are competing in. Tonight we took the dogs for their evening run, which includes a long walk and chuck-it. Nared was perfect. Very appropriate with other dogs and people. We worked on his recall and even taught him to stay in our little gated area. He is super smart and just generally easy. His daily activities in our home consist of: morning run, then most of the afternoon racing around the yard with our male Border Collie, then a very long leash walk to the park, where we play ball for at least an hour and walk home. He loves to play fetch and tug and has a ton of drive. He has been keeping up with the Border Collies with no problem. He would do great in an active home. He is super smart and trainable - he has a ton of potential!

Health & History: Nared has had a wellness exam by one of our vets and is spayed/neutered, microchipped, wormed, flea treated, current on DHLPPC, Bordatella, and Rabies. Nared arrived from an over crowded shelter. NWIPR was asked to please bring Nared into rescue since the shelter was full and he had been there so long. We could not be happier to have him

Adoption Donation: $350
WE ARE A NON-PROFIT 501c3 ORGANIZATION AND A REGISTERED WA STATE CHARITY

Your adoption donation is used to care for the many dogs that enter into rescue. All dogs leave rescue vaccinated, sterilized, microchipped, wormed, flea treated, and medically checked out. In some cases they receive dentals, ear flush, cherry eye surgery, and so on to ensure that they are healthy and ready to be adopted. Your adoption donation is very much appreciated and needed to help care for the many needy dogs that enter into rescue. New adopters receive a FREE exam coupon at a local veterinary clinic in Lynnwood OR a $30 care voucher to a veterinary chain (so be sure to ask about these coupons if you are interested).

NOTE: Please do not email for more dog info. This is all the info available until approved application is received and then you can talk directly to that dog's foster home for further info. Thank you!

NWIPR's adoption process includes completion of an adoption application, a vet check, screening, in person meeting, a home visit and a lifetime adoption contract.

NWIPR is the pet's advocate and will select the most suitably matched home for the dog's general and unique needs, therefore adoptions are not done on a first come first serve basis. We reserve the right to refuse service and adoption for any reason.
