This is one extremely special fella. Hes a Lab and has been in long term care with New Hope for about two years and has learned lots over that period of time. Why so long you wonder? Well his previous owners just put him in the yard and expected him train himself and when he didn't he came to New Hope to learn how to be a dog who is part of a family.

Buddy is about 8 years old and a super dog. Hes a happy guy who loves it when you come home from work, misses you during the day, does not grumple when you leave and looks forward to learning new things and a yummy treat along with a belly rub. .

He has simple needs, he gets along well with other dogs and people and is a really sociable guy. A real gentleman of a dog, who has a soft spot for small dogs and puppies.

Buddy loves car rides, because he knows at the end of the trip there is usually something really fun and exciting to do a walk in the park, new people, puppies or just a new adventure. He is such a wonderful guy, who just wants to find a home to call his own, with people who appreciate all his great qualities. He loves water, but does not swim and if he gets in too deep, he panics. A wading pool might be just the ticket for this lovely lad. He would love someone to adopt him who would recognize how special he is, and work with him to help him be the best dog ever. Once he trusts you, he never stops loving you, and you will have the most loyal companion ever. Be the leader and you will have the happiest guy on the planet. NEW HOPE DOG RESCUE is not a shelter. Our dogs are placed in loving foster homes. WE NEED FOSTER HOMES TO HELP MORE DOGS - CONTACT US TODAY!!!

Definitions:

Pending - means that we are working through the adoption process with the 1st applicant. We usually don't add the pending until we are pretty sure the adoption will go through (like at the home visit stage)

On Trial or Trial Visit - means that the dog is in their new home for up to 2 weeks before the adopters need to commit to keeping the dog. We want to make sure that everyone is happy with the new living arrangements! We allow this option for everyone except very long distance adoptions (too far to drive).

Adopted - you know!! A happy ending for a homeless dog. We try to let everyone know when we have the final word. Within about 24 hours, the dog's bio will be moved to our happy tails section!
