German Shepherd Dog Mix: An adopted dog in Northville, MI

Arrival story: Crystal came to a rural shelter emaciated and covered in fleas. She also had cuts on her neck which looked suspicious to the shelter staff and made staff wonder if she had been abused. The wounds have healed, she is now a healthy weight, and Crystal is now flea free. The fleas irritated her skin so Crystal is getting medicated baths to help her skin heal. Crystal is fully vetted, spayed and microchipped.

Approximate age / weight: Approximately 3 years old (approx. DOB 7-16-07) and 42 lbs.

Personality: What a sweetie and gorgeous, too! Crystal looks like a purebred shepherd, only compact size. We do not know what else she's mixed with. In spite of her terrible condition when she came to the rural shelter, Crystal loves everyone she meets. She is super friendly and very affectionate. She attends daycare and has so much fun playing with...

This good girl knows her basic commands and walks nicely on a leash. Who doesn't need a fun walking partner?! Sweet Crystal is housebroken and crate trained. She sits for her treats and takes her treats with a gentle mouth. Crystal is fine with the cats in her foster home, too! Her foster family cannot say enough good things about this sweetheart!

Forever home: Crystal loves to run and play so an active family would be best for her. Because of her great temperment, she will do well in many situations, but would love to have a yard and a dog pal to romp with.

Waggin' Tails Adoption Information: Waggin' Tails Dog Rescue has a standard adoption fee of $175 for adult dogs. Different adoption fees apply for older dogs, small breeds and puppies - $100 for senior dogs (9 years +), $275 for small breed dogs and $200 for puppies plus a $50 deposit which is returned upon proof of spay/neuter at six months of age.
Our adoption process includes an application, vet reference checks, and a home visit.

Arrangements can be made to meet our rescue dogs outside of Saturday adoption events after an approved application is submitted (the application does not imply an obligation by the applicant or by the rescue group).
