Black Labrador Retriever Mix: An adopted dog in Northville, MI

Arrival story: Kellie was rescued from a rural shelter where a Waggin' Tails volunteer spotted her and knew we could find her the perfect home!

Approximate age / weight: 8 months / 40 lbs.

Personality: Kellie is super-lovable! She's housetrained and is learning her basic commands. She's very smart and learns quickly!

Kellie enjoys playing with the other dogs in her foster home and is great with kids. She settles down nicely, so her new family must love to snuggle! Kellie LOVES the water, even including bath time! She has webbed feet and is naturally drawn to the water. We hope to find her a home that will allow her some playtime in water.

She would make a great walking or jogging buddy. Kellie really enjoys the company of other dogs, so a playful canine pal and a physically-fenced yard to romp around in would be perfect!

Kellie is adorably cute and energetic, but please remember, puppies are a lot of work. Like any pup, Kellie needs to attend obedience classes and be socialized to ensure she grows into a well-mannered adult dog.

Waggin' Tails Adoption Information: Waggin' Tails Dog Rescue has a standard adoption fee of $175 for adult dogs. Different adoption fees apply for older dogs, small breeds and puppies - $100 for senior dogs (9 years +), $275 for small breed dogs and $200 for puppies plus a $50 deposit which is returned upon proof of spay/neuter at six months of age.
Our adoption process includes an application, vet reference checks, and a home visit.

Arrangements can be made to meet our rescue dogs outside of Saturday adoption events after an approved application is submitted (the application does not imply an obligation by the applicant or by the rescue group).
