Gilda will make a wonderful companion for an active person or family. She loves attention and is a friendly, loving girl. She loves to play fetch and squeaky toys are her favorite! Gilda will make a wonderful companion for an active person or family. She loves attention and is a friendly, loving girl. She loves to play fetch and squeaky toys are her favorite! Gilda would be fine as an only dog or with a male canine companion. She is about 4-5 years of age. UPDATE FROM GILDA'S FOSTER MOM Gilda is doing really well. Seems very healthy. Loves to play ball and all sorts of toys yet she is not good at sharing or playing with other dogs with toys. She is understanding basic commands; sit, wait, stay, come... but she needs patients and consistency. She is also walking on leash quite well. She has been boating, to the beach (she loves to eat sand, which isn't so great on the digestive track), x-country skiing, hiking etc....she loves them all, however, she is a fair weather outdoors girl. In bad weather she will ride in my backpack and be quite happy but if it is too cold she's rather stay home.

Underdog Rescue animals are fostered in individual homes. While they are in our care, they are part of our families. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of their temperament and personality. All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as Solid Gold, Canidae, or Orijen pet food. Each is given lots of love. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves.
