Kato had been living outside, begging to come in to people's houses before he was brought to Touched by a Paw. When he arrived, he immediately acted like he was at home, and was so happy to get some delicious food. He was born around April of 2009. He is very friendly and loves to be petted and played with, but he is also independent and can entertain himself. He gets along well with the other cats.
Kato is a "Special Needs" cat. He has a heart murmur, which is treated with a very inexpensive daily medicine, and the vet has said it is unlikely to ever get worse. He is also front declawed.
